Easy Strawberry Jam

- 1 box Sure-Jell light fruit pectin
- 4 c. crushed strawberries *
- 3 1/4 c. sugar, divided
Directions

1Mix Sure-Jell and 1/4 cup of the sugar.

2Add pectin mixture gradually to fruit, stirring vigorously.

3Set aside for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4Stir remaining sugar gradually into fruit mixture until sugar is completely dissolved and no longer grainy, about 3 minutes.

5Pour into plastic containers. Cover.

6Let stand at room temperature for 24 hours.

7Jam is now ready to use.

8Store in refrigerate or freeze extra containers. Thaw in refrigerator.

9Makes about 6 (1-cup) containers.
