  • 1/4 lb. Monterey Jack cheese, grated
  • 1/4 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • mushrooms (if desired)
  • 8 slices white bread, quartered (minus crusts)

    Grease 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

    Place bread quarter slices on bottom of dish.

    Layer 2 types of cheeses and bacon.

    Combine eggs, milk and salt.

    Pour over bread/cheese/bacon mixture.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes or until center is set.

    If desired, before baking, top with sliced, fresh mushrooms.
