  • 5 slices bread, buttered and diced into cubes
  • 3/4 lb. bacon, fried crisp, drained and chopped
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. Cheddar cheese
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Place buttered bread in bottom of 5 x 13-inch baking dish (pregreased).

    Pour egg and milk mixture over bread.

    Crumble bacon and cheese over this.

    Let refrigerate overnight.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes.

    Serves 4 to 6 people.
