Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Heat oven to 475°.

    Heat milk and butter in a double boiler, just until butter melts.

    Beat together eggs, sugar and vanilla and add to milk mixture.

    Pour into a 10-inch pie crust.

    (I use crust from dairy counter, not frozen).

    Cook at 475° for 5 minutes.

    Turn temperature to 425° and cook 15 minutes more.

    Do not open oven door while cooking!
