  • 6 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 6 tsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. whole milk
  • grated nutmeg

Directions

    Scald milk and butter in saucepan. Beat egg slightly; add sugar and vanilla. Stir into scalded milk. Bake at 475° for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350° until pie barely shakes in crust. Shake nutmeg over pie before baking.
