- 1 baked pastry shell
- 4 eggs, slightly beaten
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 1/4 c. milk
Directions

1Combine eggs, sugar, vanilla, salt and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg; beat until blended.

2Gradually stir in milk; mix well.

3Pour into baked, cooled pie shell.

4Sprinkle with additional nutmeg if desired.

5Bake at 400° for 15 minutes; reduce heat to 325° and bake an additional 35 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.

6Cool to room temperature before serving.

7Store in refrigerator.
