  • 4 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 unbaked pie crusts

    Cream the sugar, butter and cornstarch.

    Add eggs one at a time.

    Add milk, vanilla and nutmeg.

    Pour in pie shells.

    Bake at 425° for 15 minutes; turn oven to 325° and bake 20 minutes longer.
