- 1 lb. mild sausage meat
- 5 slices white bread, cut into 1/4-inch cubes
- 5 oz. American or Cheddar cheese, grated
- 5 eggs, slightly beaten
- 2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
Directions

1Saute sausage until meat is no longer red.

2Drain.

3Put bread, sausage and cheese in layers in a casserole dish.

4Pour milk, eggs, salt and mustard mixture over it and bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until set.

5Makes a 3-quart casserole.

6Be sure casserole dish is only 3/4 full.

7May be prepared the night before, or frozen and baked later.
