- 1 pound grnd beef or possibly pork (pork is best)
- 1 head Chinese cabbage, shredded or possibly finely minced
- 1 half pkg. celery hearts, minced
- 2 bunches green onions, minced
- 1 can water chestnuts, liquid removed
- Egg roll wrappers
Directions

1Brown the meat and pour off the fat.

2Set aside.

3Pan fry in oil all the minced vegetables and pour water chestnuts.

4Season vegetables with soy sauce, salt and pepper.

5Mix with the meat and then pour off all the juice.

6(Make it as dry as possible.)

7Put some meat in the center of the egg roll wrapper.

8Fold bottom up then mix in sides and roll to the point.

9Moisten the point with egg.

10Place in pan point side up.

11Deep fry 3 to 4 at a time in warm oil.

12Use tongs to hold the egg roll under the oil.
