- 1 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 egg yolks (1/2 c.)
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Grease and flour 13 x 9-inch cake pan.

2Sift together and set aside the flour, baking powder and salt.

3Beat in mixing bowl until very thick and lemon colored the egg yolks.

4Beat in sugar gradually.

5Blend in slowly on low speed the boiling water and vanilla.

6Quickly blend in dry ingredients.

7Pour into pan.

8Bake until top springs back at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
