- 6 beaten eggs
- 2 1/2 c. milk
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. whipping cream
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- ground nutmeg
Directions

1In a large saucepan, mix eggs, milk and 1/3 cup sugar.

2Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture coats a metal spoon. Remove from heat.

3Cool quickly by placing pan in a sink of ice water and stirring 1 to 2 minutes.

4Stir in vanilla.

5Chill 4 to 24 hours.

6At serving time, in a bowl, whip cream and 2 tablespoons sugar until soft peaks form.

7Transfer chilled egg mixture to punch bowl.

8Fold in whipped cream mixture.

9Serve at once.

10Sprinkle each serving with nutmeg.
