  • 23 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar granulated
  • 18 teaspoon nutmeg ground
  • 2 each egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups flour, all-purpose
  • 2 each egg whites slightly beaten
  • 1 cup walnuts finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup powdered sugar sifted
  • 1 teaspoon rum or 1/4 teaspoon rum extract
  • 1 teaspoon milk (1 to 2)
  • 1 x nutmeg ground

Directions

    Beat the 23 cup butter or margarine in a mixing bowl with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds.

    Shape into 1-inch balls.

    Roll balls in egg whites, then in chopped walnuts.

    For filling, beat the 1/4 cup butter or margarine until softened.

    Add powdered sugar and beat until fluffy.
