  • 1 1/2 lb. sausage
  • 8 slices bread
  • 3/4 lb. shredded cheese (Cheddar)
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard
  • 1 can mushrooms

Directions

    Brown sausage (Deans or Owens); drain.

    In a 9 x 13-inch pan, cover bottom with 8 slices of bread, cut in cubes.

    Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese.

    Add drained sausage.

    Mix eggs (beaten) in milk and mustard and pour over sausage.

    Cover with Saran Wrap and refrigerate overnight.

    In morning, top with can of mushrooms (drained) and bake at 350° for 1 hour.

    Serves 6 to 8 people. Serve with fruit and pastries.
