Ingredients

  • 1 lb Lean ground beef
  • 2 tbsp minced onion, dried or fresh
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 tortilla chips, broken in pieces
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 can small can diced green chilis
  • 2 tbsp chopped black olives, optional
  • 2 cup grated cheddar or jack cheese

    Brown ground beef, add onion, garlic salt and tomato sauce after you spoon off any grease.

    Simmer for 5 and turn off heat.

    Set aside.

    Mix together sour cream, cottage cheese, green chilies, olives.

    Set aside.

    Crumble tortilla chips, enough to make a couple cups worth.

    In casserole dish, spread a layer of crumbled chips, enough to cover the bottom.

    I also spray the pan with Pam before I start the casserole.

    Then add a layer of meat mixture, then a layer of the chili/sour cream mixture.

    Sprinkle with shredded cheese.

    Repeat layers.

    Bake at 350F for 30 minutes.
