Ingredients

  • 12 tomatoes
  • 2 green peppers
  • 2 large onions
  • 2 hot peppers, seeds removed
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 tsp. red pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. garlic salt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. white vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. canning salt

Directions

    Peel and chunk raw tomatoes.

    Place in colander to drain (approximately 10 to 15 minutes).

    Chop green peppers, onions and hot peppers.

    Mix everything and bring to a boil.

    Simmer for one hour plus to reduce liquid.

    Place in pint jars.

    Seal and use water bath for 10 minutes.

    Makes 5 pints.
