- 1 medium elephant
- 2 rabbits (optional)
- 1 bushel potatoes
- 1 bushel onions
- 1 bushel carrots
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Cut elephant into bite sized pieces, this should take about 5 days.

2Add enough brown gravy to cover.

3Cook over a kerosene fire for about 4 days.

4Add vegetables and simmer for a 1/2 day. Serves about 1,800 people.

5If more are expected, add rabbits, finely chopped.

6Stir well, as most people do not like to find a hare in their stew.
