  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg, separated
  • 1 3/4 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. ground nuts

Directions

    Heat the oven to 325°.

    Cream together the margarine and sugar.

    Beat the egg yolk.

    Add the yolk, flour and vanilla to the sugar mixture.

    Spread the mixture over a greased cookie sheet. Beat the egg white.

    Spread the egg white over the cookie mixture. Sprinkle with the nuts.

    Bake for about 30 minutes or until lightly browned.

    Cut into small rectangles while still warm.
