Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 lb. butter (margarine won't work)
  • 3 Tbsp. water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 small Hershey bars (without nuts)
  • chopped walnuts

Directions

    Place first 4 ingredients in a saucepan and cook until brown (about 15 minutes), stirring all the time to prevent burning. Pour into a buttered pan (cookie sheet or 9 x 13-inch pan).

    Lay Hershey bars on hot mass and spread.

    Sprinkle nuts on top.

    Cool and break in pieces.
