- 5 c. (Gold Medal) self-rising flour (unsifted)
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 3/4 tsp. soda
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. Wesson oil
Directions

1Mix flour and sugar in a large Tupperware bowl that can be tightly covered.

2In another bowl or measuring cup, mix 1/2 cup warm water and yeast.

3Let yeast dissolve.

4In another bowl, measure 2 cups buttermilk and soda; let dissolve.

5Pour yeast-water mixture in Wesson oil; stir until well mixed.

6Add to flour mixture.

7May use immediately by kneading and rolling on floured board.

8Cut and bake as regular biscuits, or cover tightly and keep refrigerated.

9This dough will rise.
