  • 1 medium head of cabbage
  • salt
  • 3 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. grated cheese
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • buttered bread crumbs

Directions

    Cut cabbage into small pieces.

    Place in boiling water just until color changes.

    Do not cook tender.

    Drain.

    Place cabbage into baking dish.

    Melt margarine.

    Add flour until well mixed. Add milk.

    Cook until thick.

    If too thick, add more milk.

    Add cheese and other ingredients.

    Cook and stir until cheese is melted.

    Pour sauce over cabbage.

    Top with buttered bread crumbs. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until browned at 350°.
