Escalloped Pineapple

  • 9 slices dry white bread
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 3/4 cubes melted oleo
  • 1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple

Directions

    Cube the dry bread.

    Place in a buttered 12 x 8-inch glass baking dish.

    Pour the milk over the bread. Beat the eggs well. Add the sugar, vanilla, nutmeg and oleo. Blend in the pineapple and pour over the bread.

    Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325°.

    Serve hot.
