Ingredients
- 1 large head cabbage (about 3 1/2 lb.), shredded
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 large bell pepper, chopped
- 3 carrots, peeled and grated
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 2 tsp. celery seed
Directions

1Mix first four ingredients (the vegetables), in a large bowl or pan that can be placed in refrigerator.

2Sprinkle 1 cup of sugar on top of this and set aside.

3Do not stir.

4Heat the rest of ingredients to boiling.

5While still warm, pour over the cabbage mixture.

6Let set in refrigerator about 24 hours.

7Then stir and enjoy for up to 2 weeks.

8Keep in tightly covered container.
