  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. quick oats
  • 1 c. Rice Krispies
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Mix sugar, brown sugar, margarine, vegetable oil, egg and vanilla.

    Add salt, soda, cream of tartar and flour.

    Add quick oats, Rice Krispies, coconut and chopped nuts.

    Roll into small balls.

    Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar.

    Bake 15 minutes at 350°.

    Yields 12 dozen.
