  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, or to taste (optional)

Directions

    Melt butter with olive oil and thyme in a pot over medium-low heat. Cook and stir onions in butter mixture until caramelized, about 20 minutes.
