  • 3/4 c. (200 g) butter
  • 3/4 (200 g) sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. less 2 Tbsp. (200 g) flour
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. sliced almonds

    Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

    Blend in vanilla and flour.

    Carefully fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.

    Spread the batter evenly in a greased 9 x 13-inch cake pan.

    Drizzle 2 tablespoons melted butter over batter.

    Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar and sliced almonds.

    Bake in a hot 375° oven thirty minutes or until golden brown.
