- 1/2 lb. dry kidney beans
- 2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans tomatoes
- 1 1/2 lb. coarsely ground chuck, browned and drained
- 1 small onion
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- salt to taste
Directions

1Boil beans in triple their water for 10 minutes.

2Let simmer on low for 1 1/2 hours.

3Put all ingredients in slow cooker.

4Stir to combine.

5Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours (high for 3 to 4 hours).
