- 1 (9 or 10-inch) baked pie shell (Mrs. Smith's deep dish frozen is good)
- 2 pt. whole strawberries or about 8 large fresh peaches
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 4 Tbsp. jello (raspberry for strawberries or peach flavor for peaches)
Directions

1Fill the pie shell with fresh sliced fruit.

2In a saucepan, stir cornstarch (dry) into sugar and slowly add the water.

3Bring to a boil.

4It will turn clear in consistency.

5Remove from stove and quickly stir in the appropriate flavored jello.

6Stir well. Pour mixture over the fresh fruit and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

7Serve with whipped cream if desired.
