- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. honey
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 2/3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. oatmeal
- 1 c. flaked coconut
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. nuts
Directions

1Cream shortening, sugar and honey until light and fluffy.

2Add egg and blend.

3Mix together dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture.

4Add oatmeal, coconut and nuts.

5Spread into 10 1/2 x 15-inch pan.

6Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
