- 2 sticks butter
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. cake flour (sift before measuring)
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1/8 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. almond extract
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- powdered sugar
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Grease and flour tube pan.

3Cream butter and sugar thoroughly.

4Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each.

5Add flour alternately with 3/4 cup sour cream.

6Dissolve baking soda in 1/4 cup sour cream; add to batter and blend well.

7Add extract and salt.

8Stir.

9Bake in pan for 1 hour and 5 minutes.

10Cool 20 minutes in pan.

11Remove and sift powdered sugar over warm cake.

12Serves 10 to 12.
