- 2 c. whole wheat flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. shelled pinons
- 1 3/4 c. shortening
Directions

1Blend shortening and sugar until fluffy.

2In another bowl, mix rest of dry ingredients.

3Add to sugar mixture.

4Add water gradually until nonsticky dough is formed.

5Add pinons.

6Roll out on lightly floured board until 1/2-inch thick.

7Cut into fancy shapes.

8Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.

9Bake in 375° oven until brown.
