- 3 c. flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1/3 c. cold water
Directions

1Have shortening at room temperature.

2Cut it into the flour and salt.

3Add egg and vinegar and part of the water.

4Be certain water is cold and use only enough to make a firm ball.

5Chill if you wish.

6Roll into 2 crusts.

7If it seems easier to roll on wax paper, then do so.

8Never stretch the crust when fitting to the pan.

9For soft pies, prick crusts and bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.
