Ingredients
- 1 packages Fideo (found in Hispanic Foods aisle)
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1 cup Ground beef (optional)
- 4 cup Water
- 1 tbsp Caldo con Sabor de Pollo (Chicken flavor Bouillon)
- 6 oz Tomato sauce (3/4 of a can)
Directions

1Pour vegetable oil into 12-inch nonstick frying pan- enough to entirely coat the bottom of the pan.

2Heat on medium-low for about a minute

3Pour entire package of fideo into hot oil.

4Stir until all fideo looks coated with oil.

5Spread out evenly and leave on heat for 3-5 minutes

6Stir again, spread out evenly, and leave to sit for 3-5 min.

7Repeat until golden brown.

8While waiting, prepare your other ingredients so they are ready to add immediately after the fideo is cooked.

9Once golden brown, lower the flame to low, pour all other ingredients (except ground beef).

10Stir and make sure there are no clumps of fideo stuck to the pan..

11Put heat on medium high and cover the pan until it boils (about 3-5 minutes)

12Once you see some bubbles boiling, stir again.

13(optional: If desired, add in cooked ground beef at this time and stir.)

14Change heat back to low, cover again and let sit for 12 minutes.

15Taste a piece to ensure that none of it is crunchy.

16If it's cooked thoroughly, turn the flame off.

17Take the lid off and let sit until desired consistency.

18The shorter time, the soupier.

19The longer time, the fideo absorbs more water.
