  • 3 pkg. Morrison's corn meal
  • 2 pkg. Martha White Mexican corn bread
  • 1 c. grated onion
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 pkg. Sweet One (artificial sweetener)
  • 1 (17 or 20 oz.) can corn, drained (save juice)
  • 4 jumbo eggs or 5 regular
  • 1 1/2 c. 1/2% milk
  • 1/2 c. bacon drippings
  • 1 1/2 lb. chunk cheese, grated ahead
  • 1 (1 lb.) pkg. low-salt bacon, fried crisp, drained and crumbled (save bacon grease)

    Put all dry ingredients in large bowl.

    Beat eggs in separate small bowl; add milk.

    Pour into middle of flour (corn meal).

    Add corn, onions and bacon; mix well.

    If it seems too stiff to spread easily, add the corn juice.
