- 1 stick oleo
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 pt. fig preserves
Directions

1Mix oleo, sugar and eggs.

2Stir in vanilla.

3Blend flour, soda and salt together and stir into mixture.

4Chill dough.

5Divide dough in half and roll out on floured wax paper.

6Blend figs in blender then spread on rolled dough.

7Roll out rest of dough and place on top of figs.

8Seal edges.

9Bake at 400° for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.

10Cut bars to desired size.

11To make a full cookie sheet, double recipe.
