  • 1 cup Fig Jam
  • 6 tablespoon butter
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups flour

Directions

    preheat oven to 350o. Cream butter, sugar, salt, vanilla and baking powder. Add eggs, then add flour and mix.

    Add fig jam to dough and fold into. Divide dough in half, shape into 2 logs on baking sheet. Wet hands to handle sticky dough.. Bake for 25 minutes, remove and reduce temperature to 325o.

    Cool for 10 minutes, slice into 1/2 inch slices.put on baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes until golden.

    remove from oven and cool.
