- 1/4 cup butter softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups fig preserves mashed w/syrup
- 1 cup rolled oats old fashioned
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1/4 cup confectioner's sugar sifted
- 2 tablespoons orange juice frozen concentrate
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar.

2Add eggs and beat well after each.

3Add fig preserves with syrup.

4Stir in oatmeal and sifted flour, baking powder, soda and salt.

5Mix only enough to moisten dry ingredients.

6Bake in buttered muffin cups in preheated 375F oven for 15 - 20 minutes.

7Serve warm with Orange Spread.

8For Orange Spread, cream the cheese until light and fluffy.

9Beat in confectioner's sugar and orange juice concentrate.

10Frost muffins.
