Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 2 cups crushed tomatoes
- 15 ounces beef broth
- 4 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 12 teaspoons ground cumin
- 12 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 15 ounces kidney beans or 15 ounces black beans, drained
- 1 teaspoon cayenne, to taste
Directions

1Heat oil in a large pot.

2Add the onions and cook over medium heat until soft.

3Add garlic and cook for 2 minutes.

4Stir in meat and cook until brown.

5Add crushed tomatoes, beef broth, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, ceyenne and beans.

6Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.

7Simmer at least 2 hours.
