Ingredients

  • 2 to 2 1/2 lb. beef stew meat
  • 4 or 5 carrots, sliced
  • 5 potatoes, cut into pieces
  • 3 onions, chopped
  • 1 can beef consomme
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • dash or so garlic powder
  • 1 can (10 count) biscuits

Directions

    Do not brown meat.

    Place all ingredients, except biscuits, into a large casserole dish and blend well.

    Cover and bake for 3 to 4 hours at 300°.

    When meat is tender, increase heat to 400° and top stew with biscuits.

    Bake for 10 minutes, until golden brown.
