  • 3 lb. fish fillets, cut in 2-inch pieces
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 3 onions, diced
  • 2 c. sliced celery
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 3 c. water
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 2 c. dry white wine
  • 2 tsp. dill weed
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder or fresh garlic
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 2 tsp. basil
  • 2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • 1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes or 5 whole, fresh tomatoes

    Heat oil and butter in large kettle.

    Add onions and celery and cook until soft.

    Add fish; cover and simmer 1 hour.
