Ingredients
- 2 lbs haddock
- 1/4 lb bacon, chopped
- 6 potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/3 cup flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- salt and pepper
- water
Directions

1Cook chopped bacon and onion in large pot.

2Cook slowly; onion should be soft but not brown.

3Remove onion and bacon from pot; set aside.

4Leave 2 tablespoons bacon fat in pot.

5Put potatoes in same pot.

6Add just enough water to cover.

7Cook 5-10 minutes.

8Add fish to pot.

9Cook until fish is flaky.

10Remove skin from fish.

11Thicken with flour mixed with a little water.

12Bring to a boil.

13Reduce heat until no longer boiling.

14Add milk, bacon and onion.

15Heat but do not boil.

16Salt and pepper to taste.
