- 2 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 1/2 pt. chicken broth
- 2 sliced carrots
- 2 stalks celery, finely chopped
- 1 lb. cod, scrod or halibut
- 1/2 lb. medium shrimp
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 18 oz. V-8 juice
- 1/4 tsp. thyme (optional)
- 1 tsp. parsley
- dash of pepper
- 1 medium onion, chopped
Directions

1Peel and slice carrots, onions and celery.

2Saute them in margarine in a large pot (about 5 minutes).

3Add the potatoes, chicken broth, V-8 juice, thyme, parsley and pepper.

4Bring to a boil.

5Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes.
