Ingredients

  • 1 lb. cut up fish
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. water (may need more)
  • 2 c. diced potatoes
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • bay leaf, crumbled (to taste)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • chopped parsley
  • 2 c. whole milk (can increase)

Directions

    Fry the bacon until crisp; crumble.

    Brown the onion and celery in the bacon grease until tender.

    Put everything together except for the milk.

    Cover and cook until the potatoes are tender (15 to 20 minutes).

    Add milk; heat and serve.
