  • 1 premade folded pie crust
  • 2 1/2 pounds McIntosh apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

    Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

    Line a deep dish pie plate with pie crust and form a decorative edge.

    In large bowl beat eggs lightly and stir in sour cream, sugar, flour, vanilla, and salt until smooth.

    Toss in apples and stir to coat.

    Spoon into pie shell.

    Bake 10 minutes.

    Lower oven to 350 degrees F. Bake for 35 minutes.

    Combine butter with rest of ingredients with fork or pastry blender.
