  • 1 lb. pork sausage
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 c. celery, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. bacon
  • 1 (16 oz.) can green beans
  • 1 (16 oz.) can yellow wax beans
  • 1 (16 oz.) can red kidney beans
  • 1 (16 oz.) can butter beans
  • 1 (16 oz.) can chili beans
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c. light brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 5 oz. water

Directions

    Make the sauce by combining the tomato sauce, water, sugar, mustard and salt.

    In a large pot, brown the sausage and onions. Add the celery and continue cooking until vegetables are clear. Add the sauce mixture.

    Drain all of the beans.

    (If you prefer a spicy taste, do not drain the chili beans.)

    Add the beans and simmer 5 minutes.

    Pour the mixture into a deep 9 x 13-inch pan. Fry, drain and dice the bacon; sprinkle over the top.

    Bake 1 hour at 350°.
