  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tsp. imitation coconut flavor, rum flavor, butter flavor, lemon flavor, vanilla flavor
  • 3 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk (room temperature)

Directions

    Cream together butter, Crisco and sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.

    Add flour, baking powder and salt alternately with milk.

    Add flavorings.

    Bake in 325° oven for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until cake shrinks from pan or tests done with toothpick.

    Cool in pan on rack for 5 minutes.

    Invert on rack to remove cake.

    Use a tube pan; grease with Crisco and flour.
