  • 2 lb. stew meat
  • 4 carrots, quartered
  • 2 potatoes, cut in chunks
  • 2 ribs celery, cut in chunks
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. Minute tapioca
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 (12 oz.) can V-8 juice

Directions

    Put vegetables and meat in heavy skillet, casserole or Dutch oven with tight lid.

    Sprinkle tapioca and salt over vegetables and meat.

    Pour V-8 juice over all; cook at 250° for 5 hours.

    Do not remove lid until 5 hours are up!
