Five Hour Stew

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean stew meat
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 3 c. sliced carrots
  • 3 c. diced potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. tapioca
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 c. celery
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1/2 can water
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Place stew meat in bottom of pan.

    Add layers of onion, carrots, potatoes and celery.

    Sprinkle tapioca, sugar, salt and pepper on top.

    Spread soup over top.

    Pour water down sides.

    Do not stir!

    Bake at 225° for 5 hours or on high in crock-pot for 4 1/2 hours and low for 1/2 hour.

    Stir and serve.
