  • 4 or 5 raw potatoes, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 qt. whole tomatoes
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 lb. raw ground beef
  • 1/2 c. Minute rice, uncooked
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • green pepper (optional)

Directions

    Butter a deep baking dish.

    Then start at the bottom and arrange in layers.

    First potatoes, then the ground beef, onions, green pepper if used, uncooked rice and tomatoes.

    Season each layer, cover and bake for 2 hours at 300°.

    Parmesan cheese may be used on top.
