- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. Hershey's cocoa
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. oil
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. boiling water
Directions

1Always start with dry ingredients.

2Combine dry ingredients in large mixing bowl.

3Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla.

4Beat at medium speed 2 minutes.

5Remove from mixer; stir in boiling water (batter will be thin).

6Pour into two greased and floured 9-inch round pans, three 8-inch round pans or one 13 x 9-inch pan.

7Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes for round pans, 35 to 40 minutes for 13 x 9-inch pan or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

8Cool 10 minutes on rack.

9Remove from pans; cool completely.

10Frost cooled cake.
