Ingredients
- 2/3 c. catsup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/3 c. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. basil
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 bay leaf, crushed
- 1 tsp. cracked pepper
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 1 1/2 lb. flank steak, seared
Directions

1Simmer all ingredients together, except steak, 10 minutes. Cool to room temperature.

2Marinate steak overnight, turning occasionally.

3Broil over hot coals (charcoal) about 5 minutes on each side.

4Slice very thin across grain and serve.
